The Family Vacation Trust
As a professional, Mr. Bill Lapczynski was a clergyman, marriage, drug, and family therapist. All his professional life, he has worked with families. The Lord has blessed his work. Hence, in 2006 he decided to give back to the Lord and set up the Family Vacation Trust. His belief is that family life needs to be nurtured and that a family vacation at a family oriented resort is beneficial to developing a healthy family. He also strongly believes that a countries’ most important asset, on which its future depends, is the development of healthy families. A Countries’ strength and wellbeing is directly related to its family strength and wellbeing.
A family oriented resort, although not the most essential element, goes a long way to promoting family health. For a resort to promote family growth, it needs to be a family friendly resort, and provide sufficient space so that the parents and children can have their own space in which they can relax, and one that provides amenities that allow the family many choices, so that they do not feel that they are forced to do anything. It is a resort that provides an environment that allows the family to relax as a family and spend time together. The Family Vacation Trust chose top quality resorts that have these family promoting elements.
A family affordable vacation is another Family Vacation Trust priority. Hence, the initial cost of purchasing resort time sharing is born by the Trust. The cost of yearly maintenance, taxes, expenses and program fees is the basis of vacation pricing. In fact the Family Vacation Trust is allowed only to have maximum reserve funds of 20% above next year’s projected budget. Any funds that exceed 20% must be given away as college scholarships to families who have used its vacations. Our goal is to help families to go on a vacation. A family’s need for a vacation and not their ability to pay is to be the main criteria, even if it means going below our actual yearly cost for that particular vacation.
Hence, people who pay our regular price are also helping us to provide family oriented vacations to families who cannot quite afford a vacation. Hence, all who use the Family Vacation Trust are sharing in building our country’s strength and our ministry to families.
